So you want to be a fighter, eh? Killer indeed. That said, below you will find instructions and steps that will lead to becoming the next Print Will Kill star.
That said here is the summary of the steps below. We provide you with a template or you may create your own and present it any way you like. You create a 4 color (max) shirt design. Your design is judged by a panel of battle promoters. The following then ensues...
1. Once entered, your shirt is reviewed and approved. We then add it to the preliminary stage.
2. Your shirt is then rated by you, your peers, and us here at PWK.
3. Once we begin a new battle we then choose from the preliminary shirts. Our pick is based upon ratings, comments and design.
4. If chosen, you are entered into the main battle against another fighter and notified.
5. The rest is up to you. The more friends, peers and fans you get to vote, the better your chances at winning.
Step 1: Get You Some Templates

Step 2: Build Your Weapon (Design Your Shirt)
Create your design in one of the following programs. The only formats we accept at the current time are ai, psd, eps, and fla format.
- Adobe Illustrator
- Macromedia Freehand
- Macromedia Flash
- Adobe Photoshop
If you are designing in Photoshop please be sure to design actual size at 150dpi or greater. If you are using the Flash template be sure to output your design as an SWF for submission.
Step 3: Submit Your Name and Design to PWK (Print Will Kill)
You will need to create at least one 300 x 300 pixel jpg images. Two is preferred. One image should be a shot of the whole shirt and the other should be a close up view of the design. And last you will need to upload a 640 x 480 image to showcase your design. See others on the site for example. However you can go crazy on this piece.
Step 4: Your Design Gets Rated
After your design is uploaded, and given the ok for battle, your shirt will show up on the front page. Once there everyone starts rating. When the next battle begins we will then choose two artists to go to battle. Our decision is based on various factors, such as ratings, design, comments, overall response, etc.
Step 5: Promote Your Fight
Once you have entered the final battle you then promote the hell outta your fight. You know, tell all your friends to be on the football field after school to watch you beat the snot outta the bully. Ha, he deserves it. Each battle will go for a period of time as decided by PWK or until one fighter reaches 250 votes (unless otherwise specified). So you see, you want to get as many people to the site as soon as possible to vote on your design. If you are the first to reach 250 votes, or simply the most votes at the end of the battle period, then you win the fight. Yes, that’s right. The more people you get to the playground the better your chances.
Step 6: You Win Notoriety and Dough
Once the fight is over your design is then printed and you get 5 shirts to keep or give out to the honorable souls that voted for your design. And you also recieve whatever the prize is for that battle (as presented on the homepage). The resulting shirt is then sold in the Pop Thirteen / Print Will Kill store and you receive 5% from the sales of your shirt for the life of the shirt. And last we pimp you and your shirt on Pop Thirteen. (Note: Just be ready as there is that chance that one day we will call you back to the ring to defend your title).
